Jackie Filmer graduated from the Tante Marie School of Cookery in Surrey in 2000, with a Cordon Bleu Diploma.
In the last five years, her career has been extremely varied and challenging. She has run a kitchen in a busy media post-production facility, been in charge of Directors' Dining Rooms in London, as well as many freelance projects including shooting lodges, ski seasons, weddings, christenings, parties and cookery teaching and is now running her business from home in Battersea.
Jackie strives to provide excellent quality and value for money. Coming from a farming background, many of her vegetables and salads are sourced through her family, ensuring good quality and freshness. All of her food is homemade, with extra special details and finishing touches going into her food to ensure the maximum flavour and wow factor for her clients. She is adept at re-creating old classics, as well as cooking modern, contemporary food.
Sometimes clients wish to leave the whole of the menu planning to the caterer, and some like to be more involved with the process. Jackie will sit down with you and discuss the logistics of your function and preferences towards the menus, and will ask for as much input as you would like to have. Or, simply, will devise some sample ideas and let you make your mind up!
